Lawfront is pleased to announce the appointment of Tony McKenna as our Chief Information Officer. Tony joins us from top 100 law firm, Howard Kennedy, where he spent five years as the firm’s Director of IT and Change.
His appointment reflects our commitment to providing our six partner firms with the highest standard of operational support across technology, business development, marketing, talent acquisition and development, and efficiency.
Tony brings with him a wealth of experience in the legal profession. Prior to Howard Kennedy, he also worked for Magic Circle firms Freshfields and A&O Shearman. For the last two years, he served as President of the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA), the leading global association of more than 2,000 legal technologists.
In his role as CIO at Lawfront, Tony will be working closely with our senior leadership team – including Axel Koelsch, Chief Operating Officer, and James Grice, Head of Innovation and AI – to deliver continuous improvements in our technology offering. He will also work to ensure our regional leader law firms derive the most value from their tech platforms, such as Jylo, Avail, and AORA.
Tony’s hire continues a year of exciting expansion for Lawfront that has also seen Dan Lowndes and Rachel Street appointed as Chief Marketing Officer and Chief People Officer, respectively, as well as the acquisition of two leading regional firms – Brachers and Trethowans.
