Lawfront has today announced the appointment of Christian Burgess as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Christian brings more than 25 years of experience across both private equity-owned and listed companies. He joins us from Ascot Lloyd, a private equity-backed independent financial advisory group, which grew to become one of the largest firms in its industry during his tenure as Chief Financial Operations Officer.
Prior to this, he held the CFO role at Cabot Credit Management, the European arm of the NASDAQ-listed Encore Capital, and spent over a decade at Deutsche Bank, where he was a Managing Director spanning roles in Finance, Operations & Strategy.
In his new role, Christian will work closely with our executive team, private equity investor Blixt, and our network of partner firms to support the group’s ambitious growth plans. This will include collaborating on our aims to grow through our M&A strategy, including both ‘tuck-in’ purchases by existing partner firms, as well as potential acquisitions of new regional leader firms across the UK.
Christian’s appointment as CFO marks the beginning of a new stage in our growth, with the business aiming to continue to scale rapidly as we pass our fourth anniversary.
Our current CFO, Nigel Osborne, will retire at the end of October having been with us since our inception and having played a key role in our strong growth to date.
